ADDED OPERATION: INSTALLED NEW STEERING GEAR, WOULD NOT PROGRAM.
PARTS WARRANTY REPLACE STEERING GEAR PER VTA * VERSION 1 (EMP# 6637,08JUN21 13:24): 20681 Disconnected and removed the battery and battery tray. Disconnected the steering gear harness from the fuse panel. Removed the steering column from the steering gear. Raised vehicle and removed the front wheels. Removed the noise insulation. Disconnected the tie-rod ends from the steering knuckle. Loosened the ball joint nuts. Disconnected the pendulum support from the engine. Disconnected the oil thermal/level sensor. Disconnected the stabilizer end links from the struts. Dropped the sub-frame. Removed the heat shield from the steering gear. Removed the rest of the
steering gear harness from the steering gear. Removed the steering gear from the sub-frame. Installed the new steering gear. Returned vehicle
to its original state. Performed an alignment with minor adjustments to the front and rear toe. Hooked up battery maintainer and scan tool attempted to code new control module and perform basic settings. Control module did code correctly but it did not perform basic settings
