Customer States sunroof chatters when opening at times, check and * customer state that sun roof is making a chatter sounds when opening and closing applied white lithium grease to sun roof track to lubricate track and sliders chatter is still happening ,recommend new sunroof sliders, removed and replace full sunroof assembly. calibrated sunroof and tested, sunroof is operating as designed
CHECK VEHICLE FOR NOISE THE CUSTOMER STATES HEARING SUNROOF RATTLING WHEN BODY FLEXES. * Sunroof frame.SPECIAL ORDER PART. Ordered 4K5877049 (FP): FRAME Road test one mile. Verified customer concerns. Found TSB# 2054270/6 had already been done at a prior visit. Performed a clean and lube on all sunroof seals. Road test, no change. Performed several glass adjustments and 6 miles of road test with no change. Removed sunroof glass, inspected seals, tightened all screws and bolts on sunroof frame and glass. Noise still present. Ordered a sunroof frame. Released vehicle.

PLEASE CHECK AND ADVISE. * 28497 COMPONENT INTERNAL FAILURE 83700-2 VERIFIED CONCERN. NO CSC AVAILABLE. FOUND SUN SHADE MOTOR WAS THE CAUSE OF THE NOISE CONCERN. REPLACED MOTOR AND PERFORMED SUNSHADE CALIBRATION. NO FURTHER NOISES HEARD. CONFIRMED REPAIR.

FOUND SUNROOF MAKES NOI SE OVER HEAVY BUMPS AND UNEVEN ROAD SURFACES. REMOVED GLASS TO INSPECT MECHANISM. FOUND DRIVER WIND DEFLECTOR SPRING MISSING. FOUND PLASTIC FATIGUED, CAUSING SPRING TO COME LOOSE. DEFLECTOR NOT HOLDING POSITION. REPLACED WIND DEFLECTOR. REMOVED SUNSHADE AND ADJUSTED FELT NOISE ISOLATION. INSTALLED FELT STRIP AT FRONT OF SUNROOF WHERE HEADLINER SUPPORT MEETS FRAME. TSB HAS BEEN UPDATED SINCE PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED. INSTALLED GLASS AND ADJUSTED PER REPAIR MANUAL. ROAD TEST FOR 2 MILES. ABNORMAL NOISE WAS SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED. ROAD-TESTED SAME MAKE/MODEL TO COMPARE. FOUND NO ABNORMAL NOISE FROM CUSTOMER VEHICLE AFTER REPAIRS. SOME NOISE IS NORMAL OVER HARSH BUMPS AND UNEVEN SURFACES DUE TO STIFF BODY AND TIGHT BUILD TOLERANCES FROM FACTORY.
SUN ROOF RATTLE HAS RETURNED. * TECH ROAD-TESTED AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE CUSTOMER CONCERNS AT THIS TIME. NO ABNORMAL NOISES HEARD DURING THE TEST DRIVE.

performed re-learn/ calibration complaint still present performed star case# 101831774 performed diagnostic lower head liner and removed motor. found. cable damage and motor gear damage removed and replace the sunroof track and the sunroof motor and sun shade motor swap over part as needed installed and got part to point where i
can check operation note mounted and plug in motors and no movement when performing calibration check power and ground check ok note re-connected star case number# 101848795 performed diagnostic check with star on phone
found possible motor internal failure order and installed new motors as a pair note with star on phone complaint still present found push out pins as per star order and replace the head liner wiring and
jumper replace the headlines including windshield removal and swap over parts note with star check the sunshade for possible blinding moving of
SYSTEM good note when Checking the sun shade the shade retracted and cause damage to shade unit removed and replace the sunshade got new parts and installed and recheck operation still present note reconnected star case number
#101867021 and also connected field tech advisor came out to dealer and went through the system and found set of motors failed and Order new motors and installed and and check power and grounds performed calibration and movement of motors and track good reinstalled all remaining parts and head liner and installed new windshield (original cracked during removal) recheck operation of
system all ok at this time

ROLLER BLIND REPLACEMENT IS 83612-2 FOR 2.5 HOURS. CALIBRATION IS 83701 FOR .1 HOURS. REPLACED THE ROLLER BLIND AND CALIBRATED THE SUNROOF SYSTEM. CONFIRMED REPAIR. ROLLER BLIND IS QUIET NOW. NOTE: THIS TJ DID NOT HAVE ANY OP CODES ON IT SO 11 SUPPLIED THEM FROM VIDA.
