Brakes:Overheated
HE IS SEEING A DIFFERENCE IN BRAKE
TEMPERATURE ON THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. MEASUERED WITH INFARED THERMOMETER THROUG WHEELS, LEFT SIDE MEASURES 160 DEGREES, PASSENGER SIDE MEASURES 100 DEGREES. * normal condition, when measuring brake temperature through rear wheel slot, both rims on one side were not lined up, resulting in inaccurate temperature readings. When measured with a manual/contact probe on brake rotor surfaces on the rea , temperatures only varied approximately 10-15 degrees. road tested, and duplicated temperature differences as customer described,
however noted that readings may be inaccurate due to how the temperature was being taken with an infrared thermometer through the wheel slots. Inspected temperatures of rear trots with manual probe and discovered temperature readings of approximately 10-15 degrees, which is within acceptable parameters. Road test and Inspection performed under advisement and direction of FSE
Randall Volt (TAC case# 9-6541491086) Resituated rear rims to allow for more accurate measurement using infrared thermometer. During road tested also noted vehicle had a slight drift to the right. Swapped front rims left to right to correct for pull. No further issues identified.
